Only one thing I must comment upon, and that's the notion
that Megatron
was "rewarded" in the Movie while Starscream met the
ultimate punishment.
In fact, Megatron too was killed, and worse, his remains perverted
into a
ranting lunatic who wasn't worthy of sharing those few of Megatron's
memories that remained to him. Galvatron is *not* Megatron,
by no stretch
of the imagination. He may share a few of the memories and have
some of
the knowledge, but by no means is it the same "soul",
if you will. By
contrast, Starscream was able to keep his dignity and personal
integrity
intact, whereas Galvatron sullied the Decepticon leadership by
his very
existence. Worse yet, there are people out there in the fan
base who keep
wanting to equate him with Megatron. How's that for an insult
to Megatron?
At least Starscream has been written uniquivocably as always
true to
himself, and even though he put in an ill-timed appearance in
Beast Wars,
he was at least not defiled and degraded in the process -- which
*cannot*
be said for Megatron. All things considered, I think Starscream
got off
easy.....
